今天看了法輪初轉在四禪,来自师尊的文集《啟靈學 获益不少。最主要是这一段。

俱舍論中談呼吸法,和道家靜坐不謀而合,其實這沒有什麼好奇怪的,陸象山的東方聖哲和西方聖哲,是同心同理,佛法和道法大同而小異,道家的法輪常轉,確實就是呼吸法,也就是止念數息,由於靈在海底輪,因而要破海底輪拯救靈魂,可用念力和呼吸法破之,大凡修道人的呼吸,畢竟和凡夫不同,這方面有二個原則,第一個原則是入息一一到丹田,第二個原則是入多出少,我們修道者要明白,氣若入丹田,就是「皈原」,皈原之後而呼出,這是生命的延續,若把呼吸法久久習會,四禪定的境界很快便可得到,否則枯坐一輩子,也是枉然,呼吸法若一一入了丹田,丹田必然發熱,因「氣」之流轉乃是固本方法之一,若掃除了陰冷之氣,丹田產生溫和之氣,這是好的現象,表示呼吸法已獲得初步的印證也。

  大凡靜坐先要凝神,把心念扥於雙眼之間,或鼻息之間,坐姿隨意,自然莊嚴,一呼一吸,清晰可聞,到最後才化之於無形,吸入氣,一定要下到丹田,如此的輪迴,才算是正統的呼吸法,這種入丹田的方法,就是人身中的法輪常轉,入法坐之前,預備動作是雙腳併直,用念力吸入一口真氣,將氣逼往雙足,再把氣排出四肢之頂端,此乃靜坐法之排除濁氣之方法,亦有凝神之作用也。坐功時,全神貫注在呼吸上,手可由半靈力支配,顯化自然手印,若不能顯化手印,可雙手握緊即可。由於念頭止專注在呼吸,因而念力可歸於一字,如此常常轉動法輪,智慧生出禪定,佛道可雙修得到,肚子中如一團火在燃燒,如痴如醉,入於四禪定,見奇景,獲仙緣,爐火中燒,此乃初證。

  人的身體,其結構是神奇莫測的,自然的五行,可以印證人身的五行,入四禪和轉法輪應該是土輪的功夫也,本篇短文亦是築基之一,土中建立了鋼筋,替後來的道行,打下基礎,入四禪定的人不多,蓋此關甚難,修靈者,不可不知。






I decided to write an English translation, as I find this one of the breakthrough knowledge and exercise for me, and I hope others benefit from this as well.

The spirit (
靈) remains at kundalini, so we break from kundalini for the spirit to have salvation. We may use either concentration or breathing techniques to achieve this. Great cultivators have different way of breathing compare to lay person. There are 2 foundation.


1. Breath until air reaches dan tian (between belly button and penis)
2. Breathing have more ins than outs.


Cultivators must understand, that chi(air flow) reaches dan tian, then it's "return" (I understand the word in the context as, completion of cycle, returning to base) and when Chi "return", only afterwards you breath out. This is an extension of life. When practise with discipline, the 4th zen concentration stage (四禪定) will be complete very fast, if not, it's a waste of life time to sit there. When every breathing reaches dan tian, dan tian will be warm, because of the flow of chi. Once eliminated cold air in the body, dan tian will be warm and this imply the accomplishment of the first step.


To meditate, one must focus between the eyes, or the exit of nostrils. Any sitting posture may do, each inhale and exhale are clear, and then become formless. Every inhale must reach dan tian, such is a correct way of breathing.


Before sitting, the preparation is to have both legs straighten side by side. use concentration to inhale and forces chi to reach both foot, and have chi exists on both fingers and toes (四肢之頂端). Such is a way to cleanse impure chi, and aid in focus too.


In a siting, fully focus on breathing, the hand may half rely on spirit to move around, to naturally form mudra, if cannot form mudra, may hold both hand tight. There are endless benefit when practise with discipline. 


*all English translation are made by me. These are techniques specially to cultivate chi and the body. It is best to only practise these with someone experienced, ideally, seniors from True Buddha School. Any translation mistake are purely mine. The translation focus on the techniques and how to, other details are made secondary in the English translation.
